About IASSAR
IASSAR connects the scientific community working on safety, risk, uncertainty, and reliability of structures and engineering systems.
Mission
The International Association for Structural Safety and Reliability promotes the study, research, and applications of scientific principles of safety, risk and reliability in the analysis, design, construction, maintenance and operations of structures and other engineering systems. This mission is accomplished primarily through the organization of the International Conference on Structural Safety and Reliability (ICOSSAR) at approximately four-year intervals. IASSAR also encourages a wide range of activities promoting the study and applications of scientific principles and concepts of safety, risk, and reliability in engineering and beyond.
The association supports collaboration through ICOSSAR, technical committees, awards, and links with societies that share interests in structural safety, reliability, risk analysis, and resilience.
